Gut Supportive Marshmallow Recipe

OK you guys- these marshmallows are my newest obsession! If I had any idea of how EASY these are to make... I'd probably have a marshmallow making side hustle by now (lol!)


Anyway, I've been whipping up these gut- supportive Mushroom Marshmallows and oh my gooooooddess they are a GAME changer for my morning coffees + elixirs. ⁠

Why they're gut supportive: the main ingredient in these are grass-fed gelatin. One of the main components of Bone Broth- gelatin helps to heal and seal the gut aiding in leaky gut, supporting optimal absorption of nutrients, and promoting healthy hair, skin and nails.

And the best part is that it takes only 5 ingredients at 10 minutes to make. Here's how to make 'em:

1. In a kitchen stand mixer (or in a bowl- youll need an high speed hand mixer if you don't have a stand mixer) combine 3 tbsp of Gelatin Powder (I use the Organika brand) with 1/2 cup of water and allow to 'bloom' (aka, just dont touch it and let it do its thing!)

2.Combine 1 cup of honey or maple syrup in sauce pan with 1/4 cup of water. This would be an ideal time to add any additional ingredients, like vanilla extract and/or mushroom powders, I like to add Reishi or Chaga. Bring to a gentle boil for 3 minutes and remove from heat.

3. Begin starting your mixer on medium speed while slowly adding in your hot syrup. Once its all added in, turn your mixer up to high. The mixture will be brown at first- just hang on- it'll start to turn into your creamy white marshmallow color soon! Mix for 10 minutes until its white, creamy and is giving you stiff peaks.

4.Using a spatula, scoop into a lined 9x9 pan and smooth it out the best you can. Allow to set for 4 hours minimum- up to overnight. Once its firmed up, cut into squares with a pizza cutter and keep in a glass covered dish on your counter top- they'll last about 2-3 weeks. 

To use, just pop a marshmallow on top of your coffees, teas, elixirs for an instant upgrade! It literally makes any drink creamy and sweet!
